Gwithian Driftwood Chalet Details

• The chalet sleeps up to five: two in the double bedroom, two more in the bunk bed room and one on a sofa bed in the lounge.

• There is a separate, modern kitchen, well-equipped with a halogen hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher and plenty of kitchen utensils.

• The conservatory/dining room means that even in the cooler months you can bask in the glorious Cornish sunshine.

• We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs, except in July and August when no dogs are allowed on the entire site.

• The bathroom has a bath and over-bath shower.

• Parking space is available just outside the chalet.

• Driftwood has free Wi-Fi and free electricity.

Why you’ll love it…

Children love being at Gwithian. The chalet park is really popular in school holidays with families which means there is almost always someone else to play with, whether kicking a football around or digging in the sand or playing wide games in the evening over the dunes. Two generations of our family children have loved exploring the dunes and spotting rabbits or tadpoles and newts in the ponds on the Towans. And at the end of the day, the chalet has free Wi-Fi, just in case.

We love well-behaved dogs and welcome up to two for most of the year. However, they are not allowed anywhere on the site in July and August. Please make sure your dog sleeps in the conservatory and not on the furniture. If your dog, like ours, has been known to slip onto the sofa when no-one is looking, please make sure you bring some old sheets or blankets to cover them with. Some of the local beaches have dog restrictions especially between Easter and September, and the handy Cornwall Beaches website has information on many of Cornwall’s beaches and dogs. You will need to keep your dog on a lead around the chalet site.
